I would like to personally welcome you to the Tufts University Public Health community.

Current events have shone a light on public health and its potential monumental impact on individuals and populations. Health equity and social justice considerations only become more evident and heartbreaking as we live this chapter in our shared history.

In these challenging times I believe that public health expertise with the kind of social justice focus we practice at Tufts is more imperative than ever.

New Student Checklist

You will need to complete the following steps before you begin classes.

STEP
1
Set Up Your Tufts University Accounts and Log In to SIS

Instructions for creating your Tufts User ID (UTLN) and e-mail address will be e-mailed 24–48 hours after you submit your enrollment deposit. You will log in to the Student Information System (SIS) using your account credentials.

STEP 2
Connect with Your Student Success Adviser

During your Welcome Call, you will sign up for the mandatory program overview webinar, technical training, and success planning call.

STEP 3
Log In to the Online Campus (2TU) and Complete Orientation

Once receiving access to your account via e-mail, you will complete your Student Orientation course, sign the required Honor Code, and complete the required Office of Equal Opportunity (OEO) training.

STEP 4
Activate Your Zoom Account

Instructions will be e-mailed to you.

STEP 5
Review Financial Aid Options

Complete the FAFSA and/or Direct Graduate PLUS Loan application if you will be applying for federal financial aid.

STEP 6
Register for Classes in SIS, When Available

Register during the official registration period. These dates are listed above and will also be provided by Student Success.

STEP 7
Submit Official Transcripts and Immunization Records

Prior to the start of your first term, you must submit immunization records to the Student Advisory & Health Administration Office and submit an official transcript from the institution where you earned your bachelor’s degree showing a date of degree conferral. Transcripts may be e-mailed to appsvcs@onlinepublichealth.tufts.edu or mailed to Tufts University, Application Processing Center, Tufts Public Health Online, PO Box 30096 019-002, College Station, TX 77842.

STEP 8
Access and Pay Your Tuition Bill

This will be completed through SIS.

STEP 9
Finalize Program Plan with Student Success

You will need to confirm whether you will be attending full time or part time.

Once you have completed each item on the new student checklist above, watch for e-mails from your Student Success Adviser regarding program information, reminders, and deadlines, as well as other required next steps.

Once course access opens, ensure that you complete the following:

Review the syllabi and announcements for all courses.

Complete Week 1 course work in the online campus (2TU) prior to your first live session.

Purchase textbooks, case studies, and additional class materials if applicable.
