Our Response

At Tufts University, we remain fully engaged in our mission of education, research and scholarship, clinical and public health work, and service. We are working closely with our technology partner to ensure our online programs are operating during this time.

Here are some of the ways we are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Online Program: Our online programs are positioned to support student learning and ensure academic continuity from anywhere. These programs remain open, with weekly live classes held in Zoom classrooms. Students can meet with peers and professors in breakout sessions, and faculty in these programs are trained to teach in the online environment.

Digital Campus: The digital campus for our online programs is designed to foster connection and collaboration among all students regardless of location. There are no barriers to discussion, and our online students remain active in both their coursework and research.

Innovation and Advancement: We are always monitoring our online curriculum and technology to ensure the most rigorous and engaging experience for students. Our technology partner remains diligent and will continue to assess this experience.

Ongoing Support Services: Our admissions and student support teams remain active and available. You can reach out at any time to speak with a counselor on either of these teams to ask any questions you have.

In-Person Experiences: Hands-on, in-person learning is a cornerstone of our online programs, and as a community-oriented university, we cherish each other’s company and our face-to-face interactions. We are evaluating in-person experiences on a program-by-program basis and are communicating directly with affected faculty and current students.
